why cant this V12V sell?
Discussion
The V12V is described by AM in the following way :-
"With its unashamedly aggressive and purposeful stance, distinctive detailing and, of course, a breathtakingly powerful, 6.0-litre, 12-cylinder engine, the V12 Vantage can rightly claim to be one of the most exciting and extraordinary cars in the world"
They also describe the car as unique within their range and even descibe the carbon black edition as menacing.
Surely most of the market they aimed at for this limited run model would want such a car even, if like me, they didn't want the flamboyance of a lambourghini or even a porsche GT3RS. Placing supreme sports seats, alcantara, carbon and black in the interior and just a little, for practical reasons as well as agressive looks, of carbon on the exterior is consistent with their design objectives.
The car in the advertisement softens the exterior and creates a GT cruiser feeling in the interior. If you wanted such a car (and I can understand the appeal for some people) why wouldn't you select a Virage, DBS or even a DB9. This car is cheap because it goes against what most people would desire in a V12V.

Im not sure you would get much off,it was orig9nally up at 95k ,at which price he refused an offer from me with regrd to a trade in...which would have left him far better off than having the car at 83k. (offer made over phone before realising colour combo of interior).
Perhaps they have learnt there lesson now.?WantanewV12V said:

Very apt and succinct.A beautiful car (as per all AMs really) but also a confused one.
Replace the bonnet vents / louvres with CF contrasting ones, then replace the interior stitching and - Bang - you ascribe to the original ethos of the V12V.
A sophisticated thug's car.
Perhaps this one was just testing the water?

I disagree. The DBS is for the gentleman thug, the V12V for the gentleman brute.A beautiful car (as per all AMs really) but also a confused one.

Sorry Di, we'll figure out what you are later!

Even people under 90 might want a more GT-esque V12V
Hello everyone , and just thought I'd let you all know that the V12V that this thread is about has now sold. I've rejoined the fold after a few years out of an AM and I'm very pleased to say that Murph7355 is absolutely right, this car was exactly what I've been looking for but was previously too much for my budget. But thanks to the OP for starting the thread because that's what got me looking at it...so PH did it again, albeit not directly through an advert.
Looking forward to picking it up next week hopefully.
Cheers
