Hi, looking at buying an early V8 Vantage, and just wondered what the most active UK forum was, aside from the PH one?

Cheers

Agreed, it's this one.

Sixspeedonline is good too but very American i.e. lots about what giant chromed wheels they can change to wink

However there's plenty of good sense in there!

A bit harsh eek For the Gaydon Astons this is the best forum but for the older Astons then AMOC would be best. Both have very knowledgeable contributors but there are some parts on the AMOC site that you cannot get to without being an AMOC member - which is a shame. I enjoy both smile

The DB7 section the AMOC forum is absolutely excellent, so much info and plenty of hands-on owners!!

The DB9/Child's car stuff is very slow though.

To be honest, this forum is almost Gaydon only - LBS and Verminator have DB7s but most of the regulars have Gaydon cars:

The heroes, men of wit, discretion and knowledge beyond their years have the DB9s; itinerant children and pseudo-yobbos have those little Vantage things with their pea-shooter exhausts and hatchbacks you can get your BMX in.

And Di has a V12V and does whatever she wants.

AMOC is a good site, though I do prefer the more 'interactive' nature of PH. Not a great fan of the segregated format.

BTW, joining AMOC represents fantastic value for money - 17 or so interesting publications each year for an annual sub starting at £85 !!!

Cheap as chips smile

I may have to buy one now!!

I have a fossil collection which is mostly on show and a rock collection that is hidden away, even from Mrs Y. Not a great way to woo women frown

My nephew was wearing his Triceratops T-shirt I gave him at Christmas, but he's 3, so it's not a choice...

Chill out man! He had a smiley and said there was a lot of sense on there. No need to be passive/aggressive.

The AMOC forum is probably good if you are a member, but you will be excluded from lots of areas if you just register and browse.

hehe I find engineering isn't the best way either. I leave my little collection of various bits of blades on my desk at work, and hidden away in the office at home for that very reason.

Those areas aren't that interesting and the whole site is very much pre Gaydon.
