What other places do you have in mind? Buttertubs pass is a good run out, but possibly a little far for some. Plus it means crossing the border into Yorkshire

You never heard of the 2 Mersey Tunnels ??Mr Gould will vouch for the accoustics, though the official speed limit is 30mph

Me too, I would book into the Wild Boar Tarporley. Lovely looking hotel. OH Tony regularly stays there and its very good value and he says, very good food.Big car park for a meet up as well and good roads in all directions.
Might be wise to wait a bit as weather for end Jan, early Feb looking to bite us in the rear.

And just to prove that no one was speeding, at one stage you can clearly see my digital speedo and I can no confirm that none of were gonig faster than 30MPH!
