Women, yes. Cars, no.
Am I the wierd one for liking my car to be spotless all the time? I think I may be after reading this thread. There is just something exceptionally rewarding about making your car gleam. Very satisfying indeed
I love a gleaming car. I will slip Paddy328 a few quid later in the year and he can make mine shine. But it's too much like hard work for me to do myself. Much bigger fan of just looking at the gleam.Am I the wierd one for liking my car to be spotless all the time? I think I may be after reading this thread. Oh and yes, you are a weird one.
That is payback for the parking jokes...

But good point, the Polo must be spotless too. Nothing worse than a dirty car
You wouldn't go out wearing dirty clothes, why a dirty car?

Lazy... I enjoy cleaning the cars, and it will feel even better knowing you have done it. Plus what do you do when it's dirty again the following week. Must cost you a fortune in detailing! Oh and yes, you are a weird one.

Oh and I enjoy our little "parking" banter. It's fun being able to take the piss out of someone else's driving for a change, usually I get loads of stick off others for having written a few cars off earlier in my driving career

I'm gutted !
I thought I would be collecting my DB9 Saturday, but it's now not going to happen, until early next week.
So I won't be adding my name to the list, but hope you all have a great time, and look forward to seeing some picture, of some great cars at the event.
Hopefully there will be another of these meets in the Spring, and I will be sure to attend.

Dear All
My name is Tim Butcher and I am both the owner of Trinity Engineering and the representative for the Aston Martin Owners Club for Surrey and SW London.
I was told about this post last night and was both delighted and thrilled to see it had caused so much interest.
The event we have organised at Brooklands on Sunday is the annual Christmas lunch for area members of the club. We have just over 90 people attending and I am really hoping the weather is good enough so that a large number of owners will bring their cars out. We will be entering by the Campbell gate and have parking in the paddock area. I do not know if they allow anyone else through there but if you all get in it would be wonderful to see you all.
We have asked owners to be there from about 11 o'clock onwards and our event lasts from 12.30 until around 4.00pm. The event is ticket only and as it has all been pre-booked many months ago we are unable to ask you to join us for lunch as Brooklands are quite specific about numbers and costing, etc, but i am sure the owners attending would love to meet with you either before or after to talk 'cars'.
If all of the owners bring their cars we should have quite a selection from DB4, DB6, early V8's and V8 Vantages right through to DB7, DB9 and AMV8.
See you there!

What time Sunday?
OK, time and place. Lets say the Campbell gate at Brooklands at 12:30 on Sunday. Pass the roundabout for Mercedes-Benz World (if you're heading off the A3 and heading towards Weybridge) and you'll see a turning on the left about 300m afterwards. Keep left, head down the big concrete ramp (part of the old circuit and there will be a man with a beard asking you for money!

Sounds like a great meet - hope youall have fun
A Ferrari I am sure many people would like to see? (me included!) Come along! There will be a mini there too and if I hadn't purchased my V8 a couple of weeks ago I'd be there in a Golf Sounds like a great meet - hope youall have fun

Neil, many thanks for organising and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday. If it helps anyone the directions are shown on the attached link. The plan looks to enter at the Campbell Gate (No. 2 on the map) Lets say the Campbell gate at Brooklands at 12:30 on Sunday. Not me!! Yeti has organised it all, I just cut and pastde stuff for you. Thanks anyway http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/your-vi...
Hi Tim, wondered which region it was. Had we done this on a Saturday I'd have been calling you and asking if we could have visited!
As it is I'm a Trust Member at Brooklands and have spoken to Donna so it's all arranged we can enter via the Campbell Gate and take our chances with parking. Our plan was to have some food in the cafe, I think we're too many for the Clubhouse now then probably go out for a bit of a run... Will see what the consensus is and take it for there.
But there will be a huge amount of Astons for a Sunday in January!! It's no Hever but not a bad effort.
I think what this shows is that we don't meet up enough and that there are a lot of people willing for a meet...
