I was with a surgeon friend when we got pulled over (friend was driving and in a genuine rush). The copper said, "my company car is faster than yours". This made my friend very irate and he replied, "Your smart arsed comments are inappropriate and I would rather prefer you showed a little more respect for your intellectual superiors". The rest is history.

Lol. No, never got locked up but certainly got his "3 points worth" of "difficult to prosecute" abuse of a police officer.
It was a daft thing to do but the officer did have one heck of an attitude problem too.

Oh Karl, forgot you're from across the pond... FYI in the UK we get points on our license for speeding and other motoring offended. 12 points = a driving ban and more points equates to higher insurance premiums.

We have the same point system in the USA.
