Dehumidifying damp cars
Discussion
Since there have been posts for damp and smell from doors and trunk/boot from water ingress to the vehicle. I posted on another thread the I found a dehumidifier pouches or silica packs which absorbs damp smells a great solution. The more aggressive solution would be a rechargeable dehumidifier as below

Basically any moisture in the boot is absorbed into a membrane of the device if you are using the rechargeable unit, the mains recharge will dry the membrane or if you are using a silica pack this will again absorb the moisture but require drying out on a say a radiator indoors or in if an approved type of pack in a microwave. I should add the packs can absorb considerable amount of moisture. If you have two packs then leave one in situ a swap every couple of days. With the rechargeable unit you can leave running subject to the battery runs low until you need to recharge the unit.
