And to George - get a grip and acquire some taste
Unfortunatly George has undergone, a very serious medical procedure... A number of years ago he was subject to a taste bypassLuckily the operation went well, but as you can tell from many of his posts, the results were permanent and unreversable..

Why would a man of taste such as myself, NOT be a fan of the fastest motorcycle racer in the world right now??
He has talent, he's fast, he's honest.... Therefore I'm a fan
Well he certainly has the fastest bike He has talent, he's fast, he's honest.... Therefore I'm a fan
I'd like him more if he didn't moan about absolutely everything
Strip all the electronics off it like BSB and I'd like to see him win races then. Just need Ducati to make that narrower angle V4 and let Rossi get back to the top again
It's a good job I like your taste in watches, finally got something we agree on!
Sorry to go off topic... But young George needs educating
At Qatar, Stoner had the 4th fastest bike, coincidently the same speed as Rossi at 207mph...
And it is a well known fact, that Stoner uses the least amount of traction control of his rivals...
Having seen Stoner clear off on a 125 at Oulton, when he was 14 or 15 years old, it was quite obvious to anyone watching, that the lad was super fast
Here endeth the lesson
Oh.... And Stoner isn't the only one to moan about stuff eh George

Looks as if Rossi was considerably faster down the straights to me
I wasn't on about top speed either, he just has the best bike, although the Yamaha is catching up this year and I can see it taking the championship
I'm not denying Stoner can ride, I just think he will never be to the same standard as Rossi in his prime. Remember Laguna Seca 2008? Stoner whinged (as per usual) that Rossi was dangerous Then tried to keep up with Rossi and proceeded to bin it. Plus what sane individual has their wife as their pit girl? Granted she's stunning but still...
Not a fan of Lorenzo either, although I think he's a better rider than Stoner, very smooth vs very aggressive.
At least we should both agree that Cal did very well

Ok, thanks for the light-hearted banter chaps but back on topic.........
Does anyone know how I can identify vin numbers from foreign plates?
I have a good 25 cars on my register with Belgian, Dutch, Swiss etc reg plates!!
Apologies for the off topic conversation! Does anyone know how I can identify vin numbers from foreign plates?

My guess is you try emailing their countries equivalent of the DVLA.

Phil, I know you already have this on the register - chassis 00333, but I'm not sure if David ever got any photos to you.
Taken today at an AMOC meeting in Bristol
cheers, LBS
Thanks for the photo Tim. It's the first one I have for #333. I just need a photo of the rear and interior now!Taken today at an AMOC meeting in Bristol
cheers, LBS
Plus, I'm also missing the following info for the car:-
Headlining and carpet colours
Seat type
Audio system
Cheers - Phil
Thank you to recent contributions from observations in the UK and around the world!
It's time for an update. The Register has jumped on quite quickly recently now that I've discovered Flickr holds nearly 10,000 V12V photos, although not all contribute to additions to the Register. I've managed to scan through 55 pages so far which has greatly swelled the number of European V12V's held on the Register. Unfortunately I'm unable to verify vin numbers with these but I can obtain unique reg plates.
I'm yet to find a solution as to how to obtain the last 3 vin numbers from foreign reg plates!
The Register now holds 327 vehicle records of varying completeness as follows:-
Prototypes = 8
Vin 001-1000 = 224
Unknown vin = 95 (there is potential for a small number of these to be duplicates due to plate changes)
Of the 95 unknowns their country locations are:-
UK - 17
Austria - 1
Australia - 5
Belgium - 9
Switzerland - 4
Czech Repunlic - 1
Germany - 22
France - 11
Hong Kong - 2
Luxemborg - 5
Monaco - 1
Netherlands - 7
Saudi - 1
S Africa - 2
UAE - 2
USA - 4
Unknown - 1
Hope you find this of interest, and keep the contributions coming
Cheers - Phil
