do the door cill plates have the name usually who the car was built for, just a question?
Hi Steve, thanks for the info, and congrats on your purchase!

I do have 401 on the register but missing a bit of info:-
1. Reg - now got, thanks
2. Audio - which version does the car have - standard 160w, premium audio 700w or 1000w B&O?
3. Engine number - will be on your Log book - AM10 ?????

Re your question, it was an optional extra (very rare) to have your name on the sill plaque. These can be retrofit by latter owners too. Do you know if the name is the first owner?

Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil, the engine number is AM10/26620, the plate at the moment is WA10MZJ but putting on SO07WAY soon, the stereo is standard Aston Martin. The cill plate reads Stuart Mason and the plaque in the engine bay is Simon Ward. Not sure if SM was the first owner though.

Mine is the 700w Premium Audio and I'm sure it states this on the display when switched on. Although I've only done this about 3 times during ownership of over 6 years!!
The 6L V12 is the only music I need biggrin

Hi David, thanks for the info and congrats on the purchase!
Yes, I have this one on the 13 plate and a private reg previous to that. I have all the data I need but this car has an interesting fact! Not sure if it's been corrected now, but there's been an error, probably at the DVLA when it was first registered. They have the chassis as only being 16 digits and ending S0119 instead of S01119 which the car is.

Let me know when you have received the logbook as I'd be interested to see if it is still incorrect!

Hi Phil,

After years of owning Porsches, including a 928 GT that I should never have sold, I'm considering buying my first Aston and have narrowed it down to a V12V manual coupe, ideally in Tungsten.

Could you please let me know what your latest colour breakdown is?
Also, do have have information regarding reversing cameras, as very few cars seem to have them fitted?

A quick question re a specific car if you don't mind - the only Tungsten car I seen for sale so far is one advertised privately on Pistonheads, registration LJ60EKA.
Do you have any details for this car on your register, specifically re the interior spec, as the picture in the advert shows a central fascia that I haven't seen on any other car - link is

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Any help, or advice most appreciated.

Regards,
Ken

Hi Ken, this particular car is S00558. It looks like it's not been for sale through the dealer network before as I don't have any prior sale details. I have spotted this car on Flickr and Autogespot previously with the reg above plus a private reg of V12LOB.
I've never seen interior pictures before so need these details to complete the record. It looks pretty standard interior - heated sport seats with leather inserts, obsidian leather upper and lower, Taylors grey headlining with obsidian carpet, piano black fascia trim. There's no silver box in the passenger or drivers footwell so it does not have B&O sound system and so will probably have the premium audio which is 700W. On the outside it has a bright finish grill and front parking sensors and black calipers.
As far as colour goes I will give you an idea of numbers for tungsten tomorrow when I have access to my PC. Personally Tungsten is my favourite silver as it looks quite like liquid metal. It isn't the rarest silver as that is titanium silver. However I think it is the second fewest in number as there are quite a lot of hammerhead, meteorite and quantum silver cars.
Cheers Phil

Thanks for the info Phil,

I spoke to the seller today and will probably go and see the car at the weekend.

I'm wondering whether the light grey square in the centre of the fascia means the car has the standard audio. If so, this will be the only one of the 20 or so manual cars currently for sale without the premium audio.

Will let you know how it goes.

Regards,
Ken

I think the light grey square is just the lighting. Sure mine is like that and I have the 700w premium. That section of the centre dash is a grey metal alloy.

Just signed the paperwork for...

Chassis: 394
Reg: WA10 DDZ (which I will be changing once I can decide what to have, V12 CAD is available..)
Colour1: Red
Colour2: Fire
Country: UK
Notes: - interior black leather with alcantara, red stitching, sports seats, B&O, no piano black anywhere!

It will be summer use only as I am US based, so wondering whether to keep it on Corsas or change to regular P Zero's?

Hey Spyker, wow Fire Red is mega rare on a V12V. It may well be the only UK example. I've got 3 or 4 on the register but think these are in the EU/USA.

I saw this at Burghley House AM show in July last year but don't have the reg, so thanks for that. I've not seen this one for sale anywhere?!

I'm getting it from Nicholas Mee in p/ex for my DB4. I was worried about the red as it appears a bit Ford Escort red in pictures but in the flesh it is rather nice - and I'd been reading the thread about all Astons being grey, so thought what the hell! And it will be my first red car!!
