Hi,

Has anyone used Hofmanns to service their Aston ?

I have a 55 plate V8V which is due it's next service in a month or two (it's done 31,000 miles).

Last service was done by Rick at DMS at +- 24,000 miles in April 2011 (just after i bought it)

The car had not been serviced since January 2008 (!!). It had done less than 5000 miles in that time (still no excuse !!)

Rick did a full check over the car and he decided just to follow the service book and do the next service that was due a stamp in the service book. (Hope that makes sense !).

I guess what i'm asking is........

Name a good independent who will look after my car close or near to the Fleet/Reading/Guildford area
(Berkshire / Surrey / Hampshire).

I've already seen threads listing the following Independents in the area :
Trinity
Nicholas Mee

Anymore to consider ?

Cheers,
Nick

You could also speak to Nick Josey at BBO Cars

http://bbocars.com/

ex HWM and Stratstone Reading

Seems a good guy but not yet used him myself as I have only had my car 6 months

I haven't used them but know Chris Randall, the owner, pretty well. I drove for his team in 2007 in the Britcar 24hr and if the quality of his race team is anything to go by then they are peerless, professional and technically very competent. I do know they also restore proper old school stuff (80 yr old Bentley etc). If you do go then ask to see his 1980's Nissan LeMans car, 1000bhp and looks just stunning.
