Gents, my sat nav has suddenly decided to go really dim. It is normal brightness while opening, but halfway open it goes dim. Any ideas?

Are the instrument lights dimmed? Hopefully not teaching to suck eggs but on earlier models to dim the screen at night you have to manually dim the interior lights using the rotary pop-out 'nipple' down by the headlight switch. Fully clockwise is fully bright.

Could it be a loose connector on the harness or on the monitor itself?

I think you could be right. However, how do I get to the connector? Thanks.

I had a problem with my sat nav whilst under warranty, it would go dim and switch off straight after starting. It took 3 goes by the dealer to fix, but eventually needed a new wiring loom for the hood and sat nav weeping

Took me age to work out how to adjust the brightness, then I read it was controlled by the interior lights dimmer.

Being new to DB9 ownership, I thought the Sat Nav was a bit dim, but not now, thanks.
I would have never thought of that

It's well known.

The satnav has been shamed into turning itself down in brightness as it realises how ste it is.
