Has anybody been to look at this car?

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/3538691.htm

Thinking about taking a trip down there this weekend, but would like to know whether as the dealer says its 'immaculate'?

Also, can anyone advise whether Onyx Black is metallic?

Richard.

I would say it's a silver fleck and very fine, but actually it's a blue pearl?

If I heard correctly its number 006. Apparently it's the earliest v12 as 001 thru 005 were written off..,
Someone else is viewing it tomorrow. If it doesn't sell I'm goi g to see it on Sunday.

I've been doing a database of v12v's and have around 100 now listed. I don't think that is true as one of the first five is currently under finance so can't really be written off can it?

Hi Guys, the Car is lovely, it's having a full body detail next week here in Cardiff as you'd expect having done 16000 miles. Contrary to hear say it HAS NOT been a press or track car and was indeed Dr Betz' personal car! It is massive spec including light weight seats and the best price on the web...Gareth

Jeez that's a lot of proper exotic car for boggo 911/Nissan GTR money.

Why piss on his chips?

He has researched this car and seems to tick his boxes. I personally think it is a a blinder if the info is correct.

I very nearly fell into the trap of buying a relatively cheap car but it had so many issues I passed it by.

Have you bought it?

I have just spent a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours at Welwyn Aston - went originally last week with a view to a manual DBS but they didn't have any for test drive. As an alternative they suggested to try the auto DBS they had and then a manual V12V as its the same running gear.

Couldn't get comfortable in the DBS - I'm 6 foot 4 and it just didn't fit me plus the rear seats are pointless, my 11 year old was not comfortable at all.

But I absolutely fell for the V12V, tough call to make now...

What's the deal with limited numbers? I haven't researched them like I did with the DBS so need to do some learning quick time...

Also not entirely comfortable with this Aston pricing lark, list price but no-one seems to pay that - difficult to judge what's a good deal

The guys down at AM Welwyn are a good bunch I got my first N400 from them and the service was exceptional. I would have purchased my second one as well but they couldn’t get what I wanted. They also seemed willing to do a deal on the right car which is more than I can say from some of the other AM franchises. Martin is always really helpful and so is the dealer principle.

I would use the search function on this forum as I’ve seen loads of threads about AM pricing and comparisons. Everyone seems to love the V12V.

Good luck with your search.

Hi, to be fair we check the prices of all our cars on a daily basis, you may find a lower priced car but that will be for a lower spec car, for a car with this high level of spec, inc Lightweight seats, Piano Black and Storm Metaillc we have the lowest price from a dealer, together those 3 options cost over £5000 when new and they don't all have them on the used market...

Aston Cardiff - would you say Storm black is the rarest of the three blacks?

I know Carbon black is a special edition colour but there's a few of them around and you hardly ever hear of storm black.

Carbon is only around used at the moment due to the change cycle of lots of customers being 1 year and this time last year if you wanted a black V12 you would have bought the Carbon Black edtion. Storm however is far rarer, more expensive and the one to have!
