More often than not the windows don't drop a little when the door is opened, hence they don't shut properly. I keep resetting them every time with the all the way down and all the way up thing but it doesn't cure it. Sometimes it works OK sometimes not.

I did wonder if it could be due to a voltage drop as I think it is less likely to happen after a long run. In all other respects the battery seems fine.

Any ideas?

When I bought my DB9 Volante, the only thing it had ever had replaced when viewing the history was a 'window control module'.

Think that might be your villain right there if you're doing the reset right - and it sounds like you are!

An AM technician recently explained to me that a less than 100% battery will adversely affect the window drop mechanism.

Had the same problem with the N/S window on my DB9 coupe. Ended up having a new module fitted.Fine now.

Do you have the car on a battery conditioner ? I had the same problem with my MY05 DB9 coupe when i first got it. Since having it on the conditioner the window problen has dissappeared

It sounds more like a door switch problem. If the car doesn't know you're opening the door, it can't drop the window a few mil.

I use it every day though often only for short journeys so it gets regularly charged.

I am not an expert, but believe that regular, but short journeys are not sufficient for the battery to get a good charge.
