As a new member and a maybe new AM owner I would welcome any comment regarding this car as a potential first buy. I have not viewed the car as yet but perhaps someone out there has and would be prepared to offer an opinion.

All I can say is that it looks very well kept, both visually and given is service history. It's also very beautiful. I'd be tempted....

That looks very very nicesmile

Check on the service details as to when the coils and plugs were done. Also have a good look at the inner edges of the front tyres (DB7s are prone to knock the alignment out).

Good luck.

Low mileage and impeccable history ??

I see no reason not to investigate this further Peter.

You should also be reassured by comments by LBS and Mr G, both of whom are vastly experienced in DB7s smile

Hi Petercr,

Whilst the car looks good in the pictures you will certainly want to see it at close quarters to be sure. There is excellent advice available on the AMOC website (under the Bloxham section), about these cars. They do suffer from one or two very well documented issues, however, get a good one and they are worth every penny that you spend upon them. The car that you are looking at is relatively rare being a manual DB7 Vantage Volante, I believe that there were as few as 123 right hand drive models built in total.

I know the seller, Bentley fella smile

Going to Monaco Historic with him and perhaps do a deal on a classic Bentley at the same time (as one does). Very honest guy.

SH is everything with DB7s, they are fragile compared to Gaydon cars but terrific value and soooo fast! As said, find out who has done the work on it and contact them, shouldn't be hard to find out and Derek is a helpful chap (for a Scotchman wink ). Solent is a gorgeous colour as well.

That looks lovely. For me though, the roof of the volante is too low and short of reclining the seat quite a way back, it would be very comfortable to drive. I may only be 6ft, but this is just what I found. However, if you can fit in it fine, it looks worth having a good look at.
