The non-black-non-grey-non-silver thread

Pentland green... it's seemingly impossible to photograph the colour accurately, but it looks absolutely stunning in sunlight. I just keep taking pictures after I've polished it hoping one day I'll get it photographed correctly. Anyway, these were the best I've got
and that's not at you but with you. I feel exactly the same. I chose that colour back in 98 for my, then new, TVR Griffith. On the stand at the motor show the DB7 in Pentland green looked stunning, when the car was delivered I wasn't sure it was the same paint, but it was! I've polished it to within an inch of its life and it just doesn't photograph well. Mind you, when the sun's on it in real life it looks great. Here's my best attempt. p.s. I know it's not an Aston but I've got one to go with it SLacKer said:

Yo, Slacker. Which bit of the non-silver heading didn't you notice ?
It is neither Silver or Grey... it is more Blue, Green, Snow coloured Here's a photo showing the lack of grey
It is closer to Green. Any more of this and I am off to buy a Jaguar XKRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS as I hear they are much better than any Aston.

Wow, how did I miss this??? That, sir, is stunning. Well done for being so brave. Having also voted for that, I did see another TDF picture on this thread that didn't look as good - the difference was sunlight. My own Storm Black car (banned from ths thread...) has huge orange flecks in it under sunlight and looks really good.
The quality of Aston paint means that sunlight reveals a world of subtlety, so until we see other colours similarly photographed, better keep the champagne corked (fictitious champagne, fictitious cork btw!)

Lovely Griffith Glad it's not just me and my photographic incompetence

Thank you! But I don't consider myself to be brave with this choice, I think it might be a product of sunlight. I had 2 meteorite V8Vs when I lived in dull, grey, grim England, but shortly after moving to France, I changed the silver Roadster for this. I know that it may prove more difficult to sell on than a 'conventional' colour (and the time may be approaching), but I bought the car for me and I'm happy to live with the consequences. There must be more people than just you and me that like it!Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
