Ghillies, very nice. A bit lighter than yours George?
I've never seen Ghillies green in the flesh, so I couldn't really comment. I too suffer from people mistaking the car for being black on overcast days though wink

A few more questions to the "community" from the same new member/owner of a DB9 Volante (ghillies green):

1. I saw an arm rest, such as the one in the J.B. DBS, fitted in the DB9 coupé of a friend of mine (http://www.motortrend.com/features/consumer/112_0903_aston_martin_dbs_bonds_have_more_fun/photo_09.html#photo).
Anybody can tell me if and how/where I could get it (of course the colour should match my interior (cream truffle)?

2. Is the audio system playing MP3 music files recorded on an ordinary CD?

Thanks to everybody for the nice welcome and attention
Stefanolux

PS More questions to come, dont't worry!

Looks like a later model - minor changes to the interior. No idea though if you can get it and fit to the older syle interior.

The arm rest pad in the photo only fits the carbon fibre door pulls of the DBS. The arm rest on a DB9 is just a flat pad. If you want the 'wraparound' arm rest, you'll need to buy CF door pulls also.

Sorry for misexpression.
In fact, I referred to the center arm rest (with a small glove-box): theoreticcaly, it shouldn't be difficult to replace it, if available.
Thanks for attention, anyhow.

Dear PH friends,
a few additional questions to the "community" from the same new member/owner of a DB9 Volante 2007 (ghillies green):
1. is the lighter circuit protected by a fuse? In case, what is the fuse (apparently not quoted in my Owner manual)?;
2. is it possible to disassemble the lighter in order to access to the lighter electrical connections without diassembling the whole center console (a bit complex and time-consuming: pls refer to "wel-known video on U-Tube!)?
2. any suggestion concerning the best solution for routing a wire from the boot to the cabin of a DB9 Volante?
Thanks in advance to any contributor.

The cigar lighter in the cabin is protected by F45. The socket in the boot is protected by F77.

Both of these fuses are in the cabin fusebox, which is located underneath the carpet in the passenger footwell.

I'm afraid that I cannot answer your other questions.

Another small questions to "DB9 D-IT-Y fans": does anybody knows "what" is called the "body control module*, also reportedly "located in the passenger foot area"? In case, a picture would be highly appreciated.
Thanks for attention.

Have you translated "Body Control Module" into English from another language? If you have, then I think that it refers to the fusebox.

The fusebox in the footwell is also called the "Central Electronic Module", which could easily have been translated as "Body Control Module".

Hi Stefano,

The fusebox is always in the passenger footwell. Your car probably has the steering wheel on the left. So the fusebox will be on the right hand side.

You need to grab the carpet by the edge that is nearest to the front of the car. Pull the carpet so that it comes away from the chassis. Don't worry. The carpet will stick back when you are finished.

After you have pulled the carpet back, you will see a metal plate with 6 (or 8?) bolts. Remove these bolts, and you will see the fusebox.
