I was just looking at Bridgestone's website and saw the "new" potenza S001 and wondered if anyone has got them and if there is much difference to the RE050 ?

Theres a link to a video with Vicki butler Henderson, they are saying that they are fitted as standard to the 458 the rs5 and Astons own Rapid.

No, probably won't either as they don't come in the standard sizes, however I was reading the brake upgrade thread and there was mention of Bridgestone R11s, they look well saucy!! Soz, bit OT...

The RE-11 (not the S though which is a semi-slick) do look a tempting replacement. The RE-050s have not impressed me much on my two forays on track either.

Assuming you can find a supplier that is.

It looks like you can purchase them through this import company:

How does price compare to the RE-050's?

Check out the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta

Apparently tested on an Aston during development.

I have a set on the rear and by far they are the best tyres I have ever worn on my GT.
