Each to their own Nick smile It's too large for my delicate hands and looks like a big chunk of metal, there is no finesse to it like the rest of the interior.
Bit like myself reallyrofl

I got a set of the "Luxe" mats from Lloyds Mats for the V8V and they are extremely nice. They are very thick and have a dense pile. They really feel like a super-luxurious carpet under your feet and they were way more affordable than the Vantage Collection ones. I bought mine through CarID and paid only $126US with free shipping. It took about 3-4 weeks to get them because they are custom-made, but it was worth the wait.

Had a close look at my Autostyle mats, and while they are OK I don't think they are quite plush enough to suit the car. I'll try them in the car and see if I can live with them.

I looked at these and they looked very good quality.

It would be great if you could post a photo up when you get them.
Here you go. Top quality. Don't bother taking the old ones out it's such a shlep. Just pop the new ones on top biggrin

The best bit is having carpet under the pedals not rubber. The rubber was ruining my shoes. I know I will regret this but I have a bit of a shoe fetish

How are they fixed if you don't remove the old ones? Or are they such a good fit they don't slip??

My rubber pad seems to have got a bit "sticky" under foot so I like the sound of having carpet there instead!

Hi, Nick,
sorry to bother you but from the thread I eventually could not understand where you bought your nice carpets.
Since here in Luxembourg, it is not so easy to get nice non OEM floor mats, and for a DB9 Volante (LHD) is still more difficult, can you help?

Stefano,

They came from California so I suspect no problem with LHD. These are the guys:-

www.thevantagecollection.com

Good people to deal with. Took around 10 days from order to delivery.

Good luck.

How much personalisation were you able to do Nick ??

That site looks good - especially if you are into carbon fibre !! Not too sure about the Fire Extinguisher: doesn't even say what type it is?

They do a bit of work with RSC on the springs I note.

What are indicative costs on the mat set Nick ?? smile

You can have the logo etc and stitching in whatever colour you like. I just went for what matched my trim as can kinda be seen in the pic.

Not cheap at £215.00 + £50.00 shipping but as you know from your wine collection the best is never cheap.

I just hated the rubber under the pedals in the OEM ones grumpy

Looks like they have a place in the UK too so perhaps shipping could be less.

Does it matter, if you have a fire extinguisher in a road car you will look a complete bell end no matter what sort it is. Track day cars like 911 GT3RS's I can sort of understand, but not a big GT.

Those carbon bits too yuck
