I was thinking just the opposite, I'd love to do a back to back drive, there's no way at the mo I could afford a Vanq but would love to know what one goes like - round the corners rather than straight line though cos I knows that would be mighty...

Anyone driven both and care to comment?

I thought you would want one with the works service manual conversion.

I've driven one all of 300 yards across a car park. Liked it, but prefer the DB9 smile

There is a Vanquish S with the Works manual conversion for sale at the moment. I am sure its cheaper than Yeti's DB9 + the cost of all his conversions / upgrades! wink

I am keeping away from driving one at the moment in case the want becomes too strong.

Who knows, I am avoiding adding it all up - it's just better that way...

If I wanted a coupe, the Vanq with a manual box would be the car for me. As a Volante, I am happy with that I have smile

Getting better thanks, once the hospital cut into it to relieve the pressure and remove the puss / infection Fascinating watching a doctor stick tweezers into your finger to open up the incision and not feeling a thing.
Hairline fracture of the tip
Would be alright except I am completely left handed!
Worst bit is being on anti-biotics for a week. - No alcohol!!!

Very lucky Neil. My valeter did the same in my OH SLK and lost half his little finger. I had to pick it up and put it in a bag just in case the hospital could stitch it back on

PS You have PM

3 months in with my DB9 as a daily driver. 2190 miles since Xmas Eve. A few niggles, one failed tyre pressure sensor, and a rattle that turned out to be a stone in my under tray (I know,.. sounds painful). All issues sorted under warranty by Grange with no questions asked, other than what day would I like to pick the car back up.

Buy a Vanquish as a daily drive? I say as long as you're comfortable with the warranty you'll get with it (i.e. AM dealer warranty, or other for that matter)... Do it. You know you want to. wink

There is only one thing wrong with having a drive in a Vanq...you start thinking "Hmm, that was interesting, wonder what an S feels like?" So then you decide to have a go in an S.

And after that everything else just seems a little, well, dull. To give that notion of "dull" a context, the motor I arrived in and left in after playing with the Vanqs was my Sagaris. Quite possibly the last car any ph'er would ever describe as dull !!

Thinking of buying an immaculate 02 Vanquish with 18k on the clock and a proper AM service history for use as a daily driver. My hesitations are around reliability and the gearbox / transmission smoothness when driving around town. Any thoughts / words of wisdom from Vanquish owners out there gratefully received. Previous wheels were a '97 Porsche 993 C2S, now reluctantly sold.
I ummed and ahhed for three years between DB9 and Vanquish. I loved the whole aura and looks of the Vanquish but my inner Mr sensible was saying DB9. Last August I was about to change my car. I had decided to just be sensible and get a newer CL600 and that I would never live my dream. Fortunately my wife told me to bloody well get what I have wanted all my life. There are no pockets in a shroud, Lifes not a trial run and it's later than you think!! So Mr sensible went out of the window and I bought my dream! I havent regretted it for one second. It is everything I had ever dreamt it would be and more. So CRW4 just go and get it! It is fantastic!
