Ok so for your 90k you could find a nice one of either. In your opinion which of these is the better buy, better to drive and ultimately the future classic? other reasons?
I've been dithering over this choice for months.

FirstlY the vantage will be the classic just due to the fact that there are far less of them around.
Driving wise the DBS is a more useable daily drive ,and has a better resolved ride/handling combination, but to use as a 2nd car the vantage is a slghty better bet due to its compactness ,the DBS is a big car to hustle on b roads,it can do it ,but the vantage is better for that sort of thing I found.
Either is a winner.
Well said. How can buying either be wrong. Its just the V12V is best wink

How many DBS' are there around? We all know there a thousands of DB9s and 'tracksuit V8s' but is the DBS exactly common? Especially as V12V doesn't seem to be limited anymore...

A quick look on How Many Left shows 705 DBS taxed in the UK last year, that's coupes and Volantes.

Not exactly common...

Don't trust How Many Left. It's not very accurate on a lot of things - for example, it says there are more Ducati 996SPS left than the regular 996 which just isn't true.

Just trying to see where I said they were common...nope cant see it wink .They are more common than the v12 v though there are 240 v12vs registered on the uk roads,so 3 times as many dbs's.

I drive a V12V...and think its great. However, if I'm honest, I'd rather have a DBS.

CPBRI why? you could always change to the DBS.
Some good points made especially for the DBS,but i think the V12V is just edging it. It looks imo a little more modern and superb in MF, then theres those Carbon Vents which i love!
But that DBS at Top 555 looks stunning. Not so easy!

I moved from a DB9 to a V12V. No interest in the DBS for me.

Morning frost a chavvy colour!

Each to their own I guess.
You'll have to forgive George......based on previous comments regarding colour combos etc, I have a feeling he's colour blind
hehehehe
I bet George even popped his monocle out when you posted that pic, paddy! biggrin

Personally, I love MFW and think that car looks stunning. Add a two tone blue/black interior and that's pretty much my perfect car right there.

2+2 seating option and TT2 gearbox option are the main ones I think Also the Volante was offered.

I think the suggestion was there were chassis and other revisions ...I seem to recall a video roadtest where they mentioned something about the 'chassis revisions'...a good reason for me to re -look at some dbs roadtests I think.

I don't believe there have been any changes, chassis wise, since intro. The other difference would be B&O instead of Alpine Premium.

Hey Damien. I think anyone that sees a morning most car in the flesh (in the sun) can't help to love it. Despite detailing many many Astons, that was my first morning frost car and it's a beauty. I love it. Tomorrow and Friday sees me detailing a black v8vs for a fellow forum member. One extreme to the other.....

The labelling isn't perfect and is dependent on what's on the V5. Plus they need to be taxed to appear!

If you look at DB9s, there are 8 subcategories. There should be 2 at most, coupe and Volante!

Much as I love my V12V I would have the DBS in a nano second if a) I could afford a Volante of my choice. And b) If I could live up to the image that IMHO the pinnacle of AM ownership deserves.

A semi in Sidcup does not do justice to such a beautiful car. I am however glad I still have something to aspire to in Aston ownership.

Marginal performance, handling issues on Uk roads I think is irrelevant. Whilst some on here are no doubt driving gods, I suspect the majority just drive their Aston with the pride of the marque they own regardless of model or age.

Or maybe I am alone in admitting this!

I drive my dream and for that I'm privelidged and a very happy bunny.
