Good people at TOP555 and they treat you very well.
Yes i have heard nothing but good words about them.
This is the second Aston of theirs that i have posted about, the other was a V12V and was bought by someone reading about it here on the PH Aston forum!

When doing some research on mine they could not have been more helpful. It had been through their hands at one point clap

For the people who were able to make this (great) choice, it is clear: the car they choose is the right answer (for them).

Test drove the V12V, great car, great gearbox, great design, and when I would attend track days a lot, certainly the best choice. I test drove a DBS manual(!) right after it, and then it became clear to me right away: it has the same drivetrain, but with the longer wheelbase and ADS, for me it offers a more usable driving experience in normal driving conditions in every day life, with the same performance AND with the same involvement if you choose the manual gearbox!

(and also when you are not a hairdresser or football player, you can feel proud when it is a Volante manual! smile)

What about the weight of these two? The DBS is the bigger car but it has a lot of carbon parts,so is it any heavier?

And all the strengthening beams too. I presume they have done chassis work when they cut the roof off? smile

Not at all...... It's often the case that cars without a proper roof, weigh in heavier than their tin top counterparts..smile

OK so have looked hard on the reviews of these two Astons i have found some reviews that are not that great about the DBS. On the other hand all of the reviews that i have seen on the V12Vantage are great. So in answer to my own questions about these two it seems that the V12V is the better Aston.
Sorry to all DBS owners i am sure there nearly as great!

Having dithered over both, they are two different beasts ,the DBS is more useable IMO,but the v12v is better on a b road blast. The dbs a better gt,and the v12v a better sportscar,so depends on your needs as to which is better.

Each of these cars are no better or worse than the other. They both have qualities which will suit different people.
I'm still relatively young and still hanker after a sports car such as the V12V. The DBS is a grand tourer and whilst it looks stunning is much too big for me and wouldnt even fit in my garage it's that long.
The V12V is very similar in size to my previous GT3 although it is wider but looks like a work of art rather than a beetle on steroids.
You just need to work out if the Vantage or DB will suit your needs.

Anyone that thinks he DBS is just a grand tourer is very much mistaken. Agreed it can pose very well as a GT, but spend some time on a race track... Have driven both around a track, there is very little in it.
