Hello from a long time lurker who has been saving up the pennies (or Eurocents) whilst working abroad to enable me to buy my first Aston on my return - I know pics are obligatory so here they are.

I learned so much from this excellent forum to help me narrow down the buying criteria: ie

1- Stretch to a 4.7 if you can - its worth it

2- Manual is for me - "Clutch learn" ! No Thanks

3- Stick with the main dealers - Pre Sale- v good.Post sale- less so

4 -Buy the colour you want but dont completely forget about resale

5 -My dentist is'nt good enough to make a Sport pack viable ( Though I like the SP wheels - watch this space!)

Any guesses as what colour it actually is ??

Dave

Hello Dave & welcome to the club wavey

Good to see someone on our side of the UK - most of them seem to be in the south east or up norf!

You probably know already but if you click on the name of another pistonhead you can see more info about them including the forums they've contributed to e.g. on mine you will see that we've got a Welsh borders run out on 15th July if you're interested ....smile

Hi Dave and welcome. Lovely car, worth the wait arent they!

Don't know the name of the colour but it looks like a dark blue?

Whatever it is, I wish you many miles of happy motoring and a blown away hairstyle!

Hi Dave, welcome.
Fabulous looking car (whatever colour that is!) and in my opinion, you already have the best looking wheels!!!

G'day Dave - Bonza car !!

As for all the excellent advice you received on here...well...shucks...don't mention it biggrin

Georgeous H will be along shortly to tell us the colour and VIN number, and will probably know things about your car that you weren't even aware of.

North or South Wales ?? smile

Fantastic looking car, love the colour. I'm going to guess at Pentland green (excellent choice if it is!), or possibly Grampian green as there it looks like there is a fair bit of blue in there. Maybe even Spruce green but I'm not aware of any V8V's in that colour. In fact is it blue or green? confused

It might help if you posted up some bigger pics wink

Hi Dave, as has been said - welcome.
I'm going for Pentland Green, or possibly Ghillies.

If you are a long time lurker - apologies, so far we've managed to stay on topic! wink

I considered that, it looks a bit too light for Ghillies green, but it might be the sunlight. OP - we need bigger pics! smile

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

I m in South Wales - the pics have The Mumbles Lighthouse in the background

I dont think bigger pictures will help on the colour front - it s actually Tempest Blue, but I agree that,at least to my eyes,
there is a definite Green hue to it. I thought it was different without drifting into "acquired taste" territory!!

Hope to be more of a contributer than a lurker now I m back in good old blighty!!

Nice ragtop. One more piece of advice, never test drive a V12V or you will end up selling a kidney.

Welcome from another newbie and congratulations on a beautiful soft top.

Surprisingly this thread has had 16 responses without deteriorating into talk of watches, fetishes or personal oddities. Well done smile

Lovely colour, what is the interior trim? Nice to see a manual roadster as well, a rarer beastie than I imagined as it turns out!

Watches and fetishes eh... Just packing my bags for Monte Carlo demain, narrowed it down to 4 watches and 8 pairs of driving gloves....

I kid you not smile

To the rescue!
Nice roadster and unusual colour
I'm really surprised how many people are finding the sport pack too harsh
I thought mine was a bit soft!

I have a V12 Mr K.

Should I be phoning my blonde long-legged, blue-eyed dentist? smile
