What's that thing I posted then and why's that rusty?
Its a rusty pulley, stop looking down there and it won't be a problem. wink

Whatever you do with the car, that pulley will rust, its made of steel and not protected properly, but, it will last about 20+ years before it becomes a problem. The bit that the belt runs on will be OK, think brake discs, they go rusty but nobody bothers too much.

Good for me. Any venue in the squarish mile is fine. Someone mentioned Old Broad Street which is OK.

How about a Daveys since they serve Old Wallop, lager and plenty of fruit-based drinks for the ladies smile

Talking about water getting in, it obviously get in through the front too !

The front 2 bolts that hold the Slam Panel (the cover under the bonnet at the front) are quite rusty ... Is this common ?

Are replacement available outside of Aston

The name plaque on my panel under the bonnet looks a bit manky too. Guess water gets in there somehow.

Fine by me. Is that Davy's otherwise known as The City Boot, next to Moorgate tube station? I might have to take a taxi!

Count me in. Yes it is worth starting a separate thread, as there are other City working Aston owners on here, who may not have waded their way through this thread.
