Well for me it makes what shoud be a special occasion less special. It should be something to look forward to, and using it every day kills that for me. Oh and the crippling fuel costs, plus I'm on limited mileage insurance smile

Fair enough - I just didn't think many aston owners would consider a few k here and there for fuel, that is me told!

Yeti - the only man who has a sports car for when his main sports car is being modified. I love it smile

I do approx 7-8k miles a year in mine but really only because it's not a commute car (I live and work in London) and therefore it's only used on weekends and holidays.

If I worked a 20-60 min drive away on decent roads, I'd happily use my car as a DD and would have no qualms about putting 15-20k a year on it, and accept the lower value at sale.

Starting and finishing your day in an Aston reminds us why we work so hard in-between-times smile

Doing 10k miles per year at 35mpg vs 15mpg makes a considerable saving - will pay for my new Planet Ocean or another Grand Prix I can go to smile

Sorry - what is planet ocean?
I have 4 cars for what it is worth but I don't do a lot of miles so never have to think of it as 10k at xxx mpg. Dog car, fun car, town car, track car...

Higher miles didnt bother me when I bought my DB9 Volante as I bought on condition and the fact that any niggles would have been irone dout as she was being used. smile

I think it has meant a slower time selling her though as she hasn't moved yet frown

I can echo much of the sentiment on here. I didn't buy the V8V as a drive ornament but to use it. That said my own circumstances are that I am a light user of cars - I work from home and we holiday on cruises rather than driving so it's not by choice that my car is low mileage ( just under 5000 miles now at just over 2 years old) but by lifestyle. My wife's car is a Z4 and it has 23000 miles on at 9 years old.

I drive it at every opportunity, the only thing that puts me off is where it will be parked. If I think it's a dodgy area or multi story car park, we take the Z4. Otherwise it's the Aston - I love it!

I put as many miles on my Aston as I can.

I'm having a mid-life crisis, and am loving every minute of it. biggrin

I love using my Vantage as much as possible, but I'm selective about the type of use it gets...

I refuse to get it out of the garage just to nip into town for example... If I can't do a minimum of 50 miles, I go in the DD..

As for putting miles on the clock, I'm not bothered one bit... I'd love to think ill still have it with 100k on the clocksmile

Yep...

It's a bit tight getting a great Dane in the back, but with a push and a shove, he squeezes insmile

My dog fits in the Aston perfectly, but it's a pain as it needs cleaning straight after she's been in. Black dog hairs everywhere ranting
