I've spent the past 2 days washing , polishing, waxing my cars, the ultimate therapy, nothing better than looking back at your labours and admiring those beautiful curves and then having a bit of special time to yourself like a bloody good run out this afternoon in the DB9 for a few hours, heaven.
Agreed, getting the car looking stunning is so rewarding, one of my favourite things. It's quite sad but I enjoy cleaning the car before a run out, then cleaning it when I come back Those people who say cars look better when dirty cause it shows they're used are just wrong!

After the new Planet Ocean - steel strap with orange bezel in 42 mm. Will also be ordering the black rubber strap with orange stitching and a grey bezel. Will probably be leaving it until August, a birthday present to myself Not cheaper out East, I spent quite a long time in the watch shops on Suria KLCC

It wasn't a great day for washing where I live. Washed and dried, it rained so I dried it again, it rained again so I let it get a blow dry in the windy weather. Any excuse to run my chamois around her curves!
Still looks sparkly though
Chamois! Nooooooo.Still looks sparkly though
Rinse with water from one of these http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/aqua-gleam.aspx for similar, go for a swift drive to the pub (for a swift half), use an air gun to clear all gaps and holes, then (if you must) wipe any remaining drops off the car with a soft microwipe. Quick wipe of the wheels again to remove any dust that as accumulated from the swift drive for the swift half, and Bob's your mother's sister's husband.

Got one of those but couldn't use it as there is a hosepipe ban. Used the chamois as I didn't want to leave hard water on the car. Did run out to remove water from the cracks and crevices (and did have a half of Abbots too) Rinse with water from one of these http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/aqua-gleam.aspx for similar, go for a swift drive to the pub (for a swift half), use an air gun to clear all gaps and holes, then (if you must) wipe any remaining drops off the car with a soft microwipe. I wish dealers wouldn't put that horrible tyre dressing on tyres as It sprays all over the wheels.

Some tyre dressings are fine, but don't put directly on the tyre - put on a cloth and then wipe on the tyre. With a hosepipe ban you could always fill a watering can. Indeed, this is what I used to do with the water from the garage dehumidifier.I wish dealers wouldn't put that horrible tyre dressing in tyres as t sprays all over the wheels.
