OK so I spoke to soon on the other thread about enjoying the weather as just been to the car started her up as she hasn’t been run for a couple of weeks... and then the problem materialized... I hit the roof button and ....... nothing!!!! small click the drivers window dropped a fraction but the roof didn’t move... also the passenger window didn't drop and I got a warning triangle and a message that I can’t find in the book ‘stop to open‘ .... pressed the button the other way and it states its closed. Waited a few mins and tried again but still nothing the roof just wont open.... checked the boot and thats closed.... but still nothing.

Also just tried the passenger door and it wont open, you pull the handle and the window doesn’t drop....

I’ve looked in the threads and I’ve seen something similar when the roof stops while closing but nothing about it happening when your trying to open it... any idea’s?

Try reset on windows. drop passenger window slightly to get door open, with both doors open, lower both windows, then send up, hold button couple of seconds, then windows should drop slightly. Could just have been the window had logged out.

I've tried the reset that in the helpful hints bit but the passenger side won't work at all.... is there another way to reset it?

The passenger window on my db9 "froze" recently. Removing and replacing the fuse cured the problem.

Do they have separate fuses for the windows? I'll give that a go as the drivers side works fine. thanks for the advice.

Don, just checked the manual and it doesn't state which fuse is the windows? i've found one for passenger door module.... could that be it?

Hit the battery cut off button in the boot and try it again.
Or try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins.
It looks like the passenger door module has "frozen" preventing the roof from moving becuse it cannot lower the window.

That's the one. Fuse 82 on a DB9. I don't know if it's the same on a vantage.

Disconnecting the battery would achieve the same result, but you would have to reprogramme various bits afterwards.

All Fixed... pulled fuse 82 and then put it back in and reset the windows... all working going out to enjoy the sunshine....

PS they could of made it easier to get into the fuse box..

It is easier to hit the battery disconnect button in the boot

I did press the button but as i've not used it before I'm not sure if I did it right... it didn't fix it... so going to read the manual and see what it actually does....

And managed to miss the rain so it was a good blast... Its been a while since i've had the hood down and I had forgotten just how great the sound is without the roof getting in the way........

That doesn't disconnect everything - so it wouldn't have worked.

Hertford way... spotted you must be this way as you mentioned on another thread about using a body shop in Hatfield.. lol small world.

I was going to drop you a PM as need to get mine serviced and i've only used Grange in the past so looking at any decent Indies in this are... BR are little bit of a track...I did have a load saved from different threads on here but seem to have lost the list :bang head:

If you do plan on disconnecting the battery to carry out resets, you need to inform Eurowatch first, as they think the car is being stolen when the battery is disconnected.

Well I'm Hatfield way so I feel a beer coming on soon smile

Can't really help on servicing as mine was serviced in Feb before I picked it up so I have a decision to make too.

Easiest option for me is to use Grange. How do you find them? Seem pretty good to me so far but then all small things have been fixed under warranty so I've no experience of servicing.
