Astons in Calais Friday

Took the car for a blast down to Paris this week – much more enjoyable than flying but the French motorways must have become the slowest in Europe. I remember the French having a switch not an accelerator but these days they just stick to 130! At least A16 was zero traffic and have a few fast Frenchies I could follow but they kept pulling over to let me pass...

Anyway, came back through Eurostar at 8pm and Immigration asked if I was with the Aston Martin Gumball race... Apparently about 200 Astons had just gone through. Pretty sure it was nothing to do with Gumball and unlikely to be 200 but any ideas what the event was?

All Astons leaving the country? 200 sounds a lot! Not aware of any event (that I've been invited to anyhow )

Not all - there were 18 in North Wales
