From that description you could be my next door neighbour. Agreed some good roads around here just not quite up to Wales standards though, see how North Yorkshire compares tomorrow!

My car won't return from its service and warranty work until next Wednesday so I won't be able to attend the drive out.

I guess so - im a about 1/2 between Gainsborough and Retford just off the A620. 3 miles to Lincs border and about 6 miles off Sth Yorks border...with a lincs phone number, Yorks postcode and Notts address smile

Really sorry guys, but we wont be making it this morning after all. Sarah is not at all well and doesnt feel up to a day in the car, so its going to be a day at home with some TLC.

Sorry, hope you all have a fab day though - the weather certainly looks fine!
Regards

Shame you couldn't make it MK. Does the movement of boxes to rooms mean you are no longer a nomad?

We had a good night and have high hopes of a good day today. The mist/fog may hang around for a while unfortunately but at least we have a couple of mobile foghorns with us to let the people of Yorkshire know we are coming wink

Can't wait to get out there and hear Purdey give the residents a wake up call smile

Have a great day guys, the weather looks fantastic for you to be driving through such a beautiful part of the country, you should all get chance to enjoy the scenery if Jockman drives as slow as usual smile
I really wish we could've made it, have fun and drive safe. T

I presume you are still leaving around 11ish and if so I will join you somewhere on the York ring road around 11.20 (if you stick to your plan!).

Hope you all have a great day, sorry we could not be there, duty calls. Like Mikey, I am making up boxes and filling them with our worldly possessions for the move on 30th October......

I will be at ALL of the next meetings though.

Nice to meet you all (though some only fleetingly).
Some of you were exactly as I had envisaged you would be (e.g Molly and Rob) and others less so (e.g Lewis).

Special thanks to Mike for organising everything so well. good job!

Already looking forward to the next one...

Great picture - but who parked facing the 'wrong' way - or was that the right way and the rest of you got it wrong? smile

Home safe and sound. Pretty dull (and wet!) drive down the A1M and M11 back to London. 560 miles all-up for me!

Well worth it though. Thanks to Mike for organising and everyone being a genuinely great bunch.

Until the next one!
