Removing Fuse-22

Wollie I couldn't agree more... the only problem I have is that every time I start mine up it sets at least one alarm off of cars that are parked near her.... must be something to do with being parked underground.... have you fitted the switch?
Fitting a switch won't help on startup, the valves are open at startup, regardless of the switch position. In mine when starting from cold the revs rise to around 2,000 rpm so when the valves would normally be shut. With the switch startup is noticeably quieter until the revs drop to 1,500 rpm and below when the valves would be open anyway. I certainly hear less initial pops and spits with the switch in the normal operation position.

Yeah, it was weird that he made that comment. Noise isn't tested and emissions are controlled from way before you reach the backbox. Plus quite what the baffles would do for emissions I don't know.
Maybe the valves would seize over a very prolonged period, any mechaniocal device designed to move which doesn't will eventially seize in theory. But it hasn't happened yet I don't think!

Well remembered Andy
A reference to my car being so dirty now that the door handles don't work anymore - the spring doesn;'t pull them back down flush
Won't that affect the door window module, preventing it from lifting on closing...which will in turn impact on the workings of your roof ?? A reference to my car being so dirty now that the door handles don't work anymore - the spring doesn;'t pull them back down flush

No so far. They push back down flush anyway so it's all fine!I may take it to the car wash later this week, it's beyond what I can do. As the Groes mob will attest, hosing it down and rubbing with a cloth I found in the boot just made it worse on Saturday

I thought it was an "art" car at first glance
You should have asked John to "show you" on how it was done with your car - he had his fold up bucket and everything
Besides you will now be able to claim a weight reduction that will net you a performance gain

On the factory tour, we were given the bks that removing the fuse could seize the valves, which would cause it to fail an MOT on noise and emissions. Did point out mine had successfully been through 3 MOTs (latest was last month) with no problem. Two of the MOT's were at non AM garages.
A very interesting remark from the tour when considering works service retail the switchBamfordMike said:

Does the Works Service switch have a sticker on it saying MUST BE USED FOR MOT's! Still that wasn't the biggest bit of rubbish that got spouted on the tour. We had - Aston Martin product Development spend per annum is the same as Ferrari's!!! JohnG1 tried to argue it, I walked away shaking my head
