Why is the door capping different to the centre console scratchchin

Is that available on the options list?

If I bought it I would get the cream leather changed to black but leave the seats alone. I would also sort out the odd coloured door caps.

It was optional for the door cappings to be in the wood that matches the centre piece - that one matches the leather of the top roll, looks like Caspian blue? Most people plumped for the leather rather than the wood, quite rare to see wood door cappings. I don't know why, they look fantastic!

I thought I'd took a caning when I lost £10k on my DB7 in 15 months (+£4k in repair bills), even though that was a GTa and supposedly rare.
Although built and sold in limited numbers of 99, the GT sold more than double at 199, probably because the Auto box was not very sought after on the GT Platform.

The GTA has identical performance specs as the Vantage Auto, where as the GT performs far better.

Although limited runs can be quite a rare find, there are sometimes other factors as to the limited numbers.

So a GTA twice as rare as a GT, but then probably only half as desirable.

Hi I've just seen an 05 DB9 Volante on ebay for £38,999!! furious ...
yes I think this is also on classified in PH as well

Mine is on for a fiver less than 40k as well - similar miles but a 56 plate. It has surprised me how low the market is at the mo too. frown

Mind you the lovely downpours of drought that we have been having recently havent helped either hehe

nope the wood cappings are dead centre of the car maintaining the DB9's perfect 50/50 weight smile

I've obviously missed the original discussion, but its an interesting idea that you need to maintain the 50/50 weight distribution.

The driver sits somewhere between the wheels, do you suppose some people are just the wrong shape, and mess up the balance of the whole car?

Excellent! laugh

MG was beside himself when the factory tour guide commented the DB9 has "perfect" 50/50 weight distribution
We did point out that would all change once he got his ego in there wink

sorry MichaelV8V it was a "in" joke for those of us who went to Gaydon last week.......and no i dont think you need perfect 50/50 weight distribution.......filling your tank up with petrol might have an effect on that !

I shall resist anymore "in" jokes smile
