Whilst just having a fiddle about with my lights I find that the Homesafe does not appear to be working - but when I 'flash' my headlamps both my dip beams flash along with the mains. Was sure just the mains should flash on their own, could be why the homesafe is not operative. Will have to get it looked at on next service in June.
Yup, Homesafe should involve the mains and rears only - try fiddling with the setting in the main menu. I know there is a 30/60/90s setting but is there an on / off setting confused

Tried changing the timer settings but there isn't an on/off or a reset to factory defaults so think it needs a look at rolleyes

Both have their advantages! Shame you ended up in the worst case scenario of kids though! smile

Here with go with the DRLs again.

If you are that paranoid about safety you should have bought a bright yellow Volvo.

Not for me! If I wanted to waste my money I'll do it on a car, not have kids.

Except you don't have to walk behind them with a shovel and a Tesco bag - just a wallet.

By the way George how do you rate your Polo GTI ?

It's a good little car, surprisingly nippy for a little hatchback, and sounds good for a 1.4. Fuel consumption is a lot lower than the official figures (32mpg vs 44 in the book). Also it drinks oil - going into the dealership regarding that in a couple of weeks. Used 1 litre in 800 miles. If you don't mind the DSG gearbox then I think it's the best car in it's class smile

Thanks - saw one at Geneva and was rather taken with the fact that it seemed more the size of the original Golf GTI
