This is what you can read on GTSpirit

Is that true?

as the article say, villa d'este concours d'elegance is this weekend, not next weekend

I heard they may be showing a 'shell' at the show - I'm not sure what that means exactly but if true, it sounds like a non running bodyshell without a view of the interior - I don't know why they wouldn't show the car although it may be so the customer previews aren't spoiled by press pics of the finished article - there are a series of previews at Gaydon next week in addition to those that have already taken place

I did not know there are a linguist monitoring the forum
To me next means the first one coming.

I am originally from Italy and from that area (even if sadly do not go back that often) so I know when the Concorso d’Eleganza (as correctly written in the article and not concours d'elegance) is even without reading GTSpirit

Given that somebody has already seen the real thing and even heard the engine it would be strange to see only the "shell"

English is a funny language. "Next" weekend means one week after "This" weekend.

Apologies if you thought I was trying to be a smart arse. My intention was merely to clarify the situation as I thought you may have mis-understood when it was bearing in mind the programme starts tomorrow - I don't pick people up on what I think may be accidental typos or bad grammar unless they are being rude or argumentative. My perception is that others will read 'next weekend' as the one after this weekend, but I'm sure people will be quick to inform us both either way ! :-)

Getting back to the point, I agree it's strange - I don't know if it's true but it's the rumour I heard

I hear they are testing it at the N-ring. So not far off. Apparently will be £200,000 so seems likely to be a DBS replacement.

No worries ;-) (you were right but I cannot change the title)

Funnily enough I keep on seeing on different magazine, sites etc pictures and info regarding the new DBS, the new DB9 and the replacement of both and to me with the "camoufage" they all look the same!!

The pictures are pretty much all of project VH310, which is the 'new DBS' in terms of it's position in the range however it will probably have a different name and as yet, we don't know if the DB9/Virage replacement, one assumes not due for a yr or so, will share the same close similarities with VH310 that current DB9 & DBS do

I guess I'll find out on Monday when I go to a preview at Gaydon, however like those on here who've already done one of these days, I'll then have to keep my gob shut as a result of the NDA ! :-)

yes I went on Wednesday and we had to swear that no information is to be given to the outside world. All phones etc were confiscated. However an interesting couple of hours.

Well? Was the VH310 unveiled?

Sorry yes it was unveiled in all its glory, I thought it was implicit in my comment that I had been to Gayford for the project310 and this was the purpose of the gathering but unfortunately the non disclosure was quite clear on revealing anything.... It was more than mock up it was a preprodution vehicle which had almost everything working including the new engine.

Sorry. I think you misunderstood my post. I meant, was the car officially unveiled to the public today at the villa d'este concours d'elegance as had been predicted by some.

I may be wrong but whilst the 3 day programme at villa d'este starts today, I don't think the cars that the VH310 would (if it is to be shown) be shown with get presented until tomorrow

THE NEW ENGINE!!!???

I think I like the sound of that! Just so long it remains a NA V12 of some litreage more than 5.9 :-D

Exciting times!

Does this mean the current line up will see fierce depreciation (DB9, DBS, Virage possibly)????
What do you all reckon?
With DB7 vantages holding steady in the £20k-£35k, surely DB9s won't drop below £30k?
After all the Vanquish has sky rocketed in the past two years. Try find one under £50k now!

Time will tell I suppose.

its a order of intent - spec to be confirmed a few weeks after the press get to see it. (July I would have thought) All I can say is that I thought the car both inside and out has real "wow" factor
