Any noticeable difference in ride quality on a DB9 ? If so how variable compared with getting the right tyres ?

Methinks le Yeti is your man here Hartley. He has had the original 19s but I'm sure he's now running on DBS tyres without any issues smile

Probably - but he also now has switchable suspension - not sure if he had his 20 inches before the revised suspension

Au contraire... I did have the wheels fitted before the switchable suspension or the shear panels/anti roll bar.

Honestly, I didn't really notice a degradation in ride quality at all, what I did notice was a HUGE increase in grip when accelerating and braking and the confidence that inspires.

A very worthwhile change - are you thinking DBS wheels with Pirellis? Lovely combo!!

Yep - just musing on how far to go with BR and in what steps to get a better ride . feels like the first thing to do is to change the tyres ( or wheels and tyres ) then the sheer panel/anti role bar before thinking about the new suspension. any thoughts ? still happy with your comfort ride setting ?

Haven;t driven my car in three weeks so no changes smile

Biggest chages are the shear panel and anti-roll bar on the Volante, just an amazing transformation for a DB9. Instant DBS/Virage stiffness! They would be my first step. After that, wheels and tyres to give the extra grip to cope with the extra speed you'll be carrying wink

Suspension is wonderful though - if you time your visit right my car will be there, still LOTS of work to do on it. Mike can give you a ride out in it, you'll be amazed!

I put some 20 inch alloys on last week and feel the ride is far less skitty when cornering at speed and maybe even smoother with general driving.
Could be down to change of tyre manufacturer but no issues with rubbing on the wheel arches.
Would post some pictures but bit of a techno idiot.
Am getting the car detailed at the weekend so will get Paddy to help me post some once he has finished his handywork.

I have noticed the Pirellis pick more stones up and throw them at wheel arch lining, but then again our council has come to favour the resurfacing of roads by tarring and throwing down chips. Wouldn't like to be following me!
Grip however is vastly improved.
