Heading down overnight Thursday, planning to do the Friday PH meet and the pitlane walk-about.

Will be attending the car show at our camp-site on the Fri night if anyone else is staying in the same place - chateau de chanteloup - been staying there for the last few years and it really is very good.

Champagne tent on Sat night sounds good if I make it that long before the lure of the sleeping bag becomes too strong...

Myself and Pommehogster will be there, staying on the Team Langoustine site. Overnight ferry Weds to arrive in Caen Thursday morning, going to be a cracking trip!

Fingers crossed the weather holds, looks like a mix at the moment... Hopefully get the tent up in the dry at least smile

Not sure what meets I'll do, might just cruise through Arnage village, maybe stop and get some food on the Friday. Doubt Les flic will let the Mulsanne corner stay open, a real pity. Cars would park the whole 3 miles down the straight and through Indy and Arnage corners. They stopped it a couple of years back, never found out why but a real shame, wonderful atmosphere!

Champagne at midnight on Saturday, vive les Astons!!

Heading down on Friday morning in the V12V .... As long as the weather is ok smile
First timer , so not sure what to expect but hoping I don't fall foul of the gendarmes biggrin or get stuck in the mud on the campsite.

Camping eh Lewis? You brave soul! Pommehogster too. Seem to recall you were in the habit of staying at some Chateau or other previously. Hope you have a great time and that the weather is kind to you. It wasn't great last year - yes, that is an umbrella I'm carrying in the photo of us and others enroute last year. Look forward to seeing you next month and hearing all about it.

Also going. A first timer too. Taking a Ferrari rather than Aston though - if it's back from the fixer in time...

What are others doing about adjusting headlight beam pattern for driving on the right? Is there a diagram or something showing where to apply tape to the headlights?

Either don't drive at night or just stick the Halfrauds beam adjusters on the front. They don't actually have to work, just look like they do to the Gendarmes.

Yup, I shall be there in my V8V. First time in an Aston at the 24 hours, but I've been a couple of times in my Caterham. Hoping to get to PH Friday Service and the CBW at St Saturnin.

Have been living in a villa about 40 miles from the circuit for the past 3 LM24s. I enjoy the drive to and from the place every day but somehow feel I am missing out on the atmosphere. And by atmosphere, I of course mean drinking smile So giving 'posh' camping a go (glamping?) and seeing how it is. Mrs Yeti is NOT in attendence wink

I have a big tent too smile

'Mrs' Yeti? Is there news we should know about?

So you've got a big tent? At least if you haven't got accomodation sorted for 14th July in Herefordshire there's a big riverside campsite just a couple of miles away so you can re-use your tent (if you can ever face camping again hehe).

Oddly enough I sent you an email last week on both of these subjects! whistle

I've tried posh camping recently at Cadwel park. It doesn't work! I gave my tent away after that experience. It was cold and uncomfortable, not to mention you have to build the tent in the first place, which granted isn't that difficult but is surprisingly irritating when everyone else got there earlier and is already drinking. Then there are the ammenities.... And the fact you get up when the sun comes up since it's so bloody bright.

In short, I'm never camping again! I'll stay in the car over a tent smile

Could you not take Mrs Yeti and share the driving - i.e. you drive there wink

You did... no update, but planing on it after LM and before Classic LM, which gives me a week to do it in! Nothing like cutting it fine wink

Nothing sorted accomodation-wise but it will be, and she will NOT be joining me. Her boycott of car related events remains in place frown Classic LM in the Alfa will be the last one...
