Does a Carbon command a premium?
Leo, apologies........I was sending you fotos and price of some Ford GT stuff i have after selling mine. I completely forgot Think the main value with dbs is manual as opposed to auto.
That said, there are desirable specs ie carbon edn but a manual version of any spec will be worth more.
All IMO
Another example for sale....

There are definitely a few trying their luck as well
Early autos with 20-40k are sitting around at £100k, inc official dealers
Then you get some independents (admittedly lower miles) putting up £120k
In the U.K. Now you could pay £95k to £140k
Vanquish still coming down gently will sort values out to sensible levels come autumn
Hope so as back in for a dbs
Anyone ran one past 30k? Any major issues? Not afraid of a slightly higher mileage as 2nd car.... Previous and current AMs do about 3-5000 miles a year

I have put mine up for grabs just shy of 60k miles. Never missed a beat in almost 4 years.
Ran my DB9 Upto 82k miles also. Never an issues other that the usual door sill corrosion and coils at 60k miles. Had that for almost 5 years. Both lovely cars...

What's so ridiculous about these values? DBS is trading at roughly 65% of it's new car value. That's on par with a premium mass market brand such as BMW, Audi or Merc. Cars with limited production (Porsche gt cars, Ferraris, Lambo, McLaren etc) are trading much higher than this. On a relative value basis (not that I give a toss as I'm not selling) taking into account rarity and the move towards turbocharging, I think they look reasonable value compared to their peers. Another way of looking at the situation is that they were massively under valued when they were trading at down at 40-45% and they have migrated back to their real fair value.

Adam, that's actually a very good point and one that's not been broached at all on this thread. I was, and remain, sceptical about the current inflation, but I feel I'm beginning to be proved wrong. You, however, could be right in your thoughts about them previously being undervalued. I'd still have an 8 speed Vanquish over my DBS though!P.Griffin said:

What a great post Stickshifter said:
I think maybe optimistically that over time the DBS could be as a DB5 is today, let's say 20 years hence...I may get shouted at but I bought a DBS new and it still only has less that 1000 miles on it...obviously with out a mark on it...so here's to the long game.
Blimey, I thought I was the only strange one here. My Woman bought her DBS V in Dec 10 and "I" have only done 1900 miles in it. Never gets used so and yet it still has 1900 milesGassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
