Good grief, that's quite incredible, although we obviously don't know exactly what it went for.

It's an Ultimate edition. That's what they go for

This time last year I viewed one at Works priced at £129,995. A few more miles.

I think the differences are quite minor cosmetic things (a bit of extra cf here and there). But the main thing is they are the last ones made (hence ultimate) with sill plaques to match and there are only 59 of them. And that gives them more cache with collectors (rightly or wrongly) I have it in my head that DJ Smail had one for sale a while back at a price not far short of the Nicholas Mee one. They don't come up for sale that often and almost invariably are garage queens

We didnt really get an "ultimate" DB9 (just the last 9). But presimably there's going to be a good chance of an Ultimate Vantage at some point?

And if astonmartins.com is correct that's presumably the last DBS made and the only manual Ultimate. Wonder if the buyer/dealer realised that?

So I'd imagine you're wincing slightly at the price tag?

I wonder how the OP on this thread got on swapping manual DBS for a Ferrari Cali? Hopefully he loved that car because I'm guessing financially it must have been eye-watering
