Saying that, I hankered after a mkI Golf Cab with all the Karmann Ghia kit on when I was younger, missed out on an absolute peach that had been beautifully restored many moons ago.

We (my dad and I both own it) have had the car for about 8 years. Unfortunately a drink driver drove into the front of it about 6 years ago. This gave us the opportunity to do a complete nut and bolt rebuild. We use the car for promo work. The advert was filmed in Prague and they wanted the car the weekend before classic Le Man which we was due to take the car too, so we ended up driving the car to Prague, do the shoot, then spent a solid 24 hours driving to Le Man from Prague to meet the rest of our party.

Also have you seen the advert on sky for the James Bond channel where they have the bond cars edited in a way they were chasing each other, well a group of sound engineers came down to record the exhaust note of the DB5 and placed it on the advert. So when you see the DB5 in the Ad, you will hear our car!
