The one in the village used to be great but it's changed hands and now not so good.......but ......the pub down the road Oxton Bar and Kitchen does a mean burger and hand cut chips for £10 .....I reason it's one of the best burgers I've ever tasted......for comfort food and for you southern folk, I still recon The Ivy does the best belly pork I have ever tasted....and good value at £18

I recall paying that in hotel in Swindon about 7 years ago, I nearly fell of my pew. Then I remembered the client was paying, so what did it matter ? laugh

You'd better stay away from the 9th Oct Dog and Duck meet then. No diamond encrusted burger plates there, but a £10 burger is a reality.

I got charged about £30 quid in swizzerland for a coffee and an ice cream..... Didn't realise until later on when I did the old exchange thing between £ and Swizz francs on the calculator....

It was about 15 years ago, and I still have nightmares and break out in a cold sweat when I think about ithehehehe

That's because everything in London is a rip off. Cost me £5.20 for a Magners once, and it came and was a plastic 330ml bottle instead of a pint...

I've spotted your problem here; you'r drinking two of the worse drinks known to man.

What's up with Guiness? A meal and a pint in one.

Cider is very refreshing too, although I prefer Kopparberg or Strongbow to Magners.

Ahh, good to see some of the pubs still have a different rate for Northern Monkeys! Its designed to keep you away from our fair City.
