If I get a set of N400 sills to fit to my baby Aston and get them painted for my car colour, do I have to have the surrounding panels oversprayed to ensure a seamless colour match (as would be the case for a new door or wing etc)? Or is it not so important as they are sills and low down?
Depends on your car colour (like a flip paint), but I would say an emphatic 'no'. There is a nice big, clear panel gap there, they are low down and they're a different material to the rest of the car anyway.
A decent paintshop will make them look 99.999% perfect, too good for the likes of us to tell the difference. Blending them into the bodywork would make the car look worse, or worse still, repaired!

Dunno, might help......these are nearer the v12 sills. Pricey, though! http://www.cargraphic.com/index.php?id=120609&...
