I am considering upgrading the V8 to a V12 and came across this one on the web.

https://used.astonmartin.com/en-GB/Search/Details~...

Looks like a good example to me but would be interested in anyone's thoughts before taking the plunge.

I can't really comment on that particular car, but V8 to V12 was a revelation for me and been really great - never looked back....only forwards when right foot on the floor TBH biggrin

That one really caught my eye too during my constant trawling of the V12V classifieds, for me a good combination of colour, spec and most importantly price. Agree with Jockman, though that one may well not be there in that time scale, however another inevitably will.

One of the best sales pictures of an Aston I have seen and really shows how beautiful Tungsten is as a colour. Low mileage but as Jockman says, if you have the patience, may be best to wait a couple of months. However, if you are like me once you have that itch you have to scratch it. Good luck!

If he's trading V8 to V12, unless he offloads the V8 now and then waits, he'll gain little.

Just sort it out now, if it's the right car for you, you'll be gutted if it's gone smile

Actually it's just a grey and black car, there are dozens of those. Thought from that interior shot that it might be some kind of interesting coloured leather.

But nope, grey with black. You can wait if you need to.

That does look beautiful; just out of interest what are the specs on your v8?

As others have said, you could wait a couple of months when the prices plummet; I intend to buy somewhere between Christmas week and early Jan, hopefully be able to drive a good deal smile

Do it smile

I have to say that the values have held well on the V12V this year; long may it continue. I paid around that last year for almost the same car, so definately haggle or wait as others have said. Whatever you do, don't drive it until you are ready to buy it. wink

August 2009 must be one of the dealer demonstrators or Gaydon cars back then (with the KX prefix) as the customer cars where not released before October / November where I got mine so you will probably find that it is actually a 2 owner car (i.e Gaydon and the second owner). It looks lovely and judging on the basis of my own ownership of a (then) new 2009 car, these cars a bulletproof. I had my clutch changed under warranty due to squeaking - all the early cars do that - and apart from changing brake pads at 13.000 miles I have had no issues what so ever. Haggle a bit and get some winter tyres thrown in and go for it!

I thought that too - but the mileage quoted is far to low for it to have been a press car isn't it? It also says that it is a one owner - but how did he/she register so early.

This dealer sold two new V12Vs to well known gentlemen in Formula One.
Perhaps this is one of the cars. Look at the Registration Certificate. You might have a celebrity first owner.

If you visit the dealer, don't mention the July 2009 V8 Roadster, that they have been trying to sell for months. Surprising, because the colour, Grigio Titanio, is very rare, with only about thirty UK 4·7 Vantages. Perhaps the wet summer has put buyers off.

To the OP and in response to Hornbaek's comments, I can reasonably confidently confirm that this car was not an Aston press car as the vin number is too high, it is not a KX plated car and had a private plate on from new. (E&OE), (data from my V12V Register)

It looks a good one for the money!
Cheers Phil

Just checked back in his posting history... Hoisted by his own petard... A clever advert though!

What's the news from your end, still moving..?
