Best time to buy?

im not keep on the torro red, it looks like dry blood. sorry to anyone that owns it. just looks more like a brown in anything other than direct sun light.
Ill watch, see if they reduce it any more over time. i dont have to have that car, ill not be dissapointed if they sell it if you know what i mean. I think if i see the right car ill be all over it like a sweaty rash.

really i dont want to pay more than 36k,
I think ill keep watching see what comes in, phill updates me every once in a while with anything he thinks might tickle my fancy.
If the "right" car hasnt come in by feb then i think ill start looking properly
The right car being a red one.

My 2p worth, bought my car (admittedly a DB9) at the end of January 2011, dealer had a sales target to hit and took £4k straight off (£57k down to £53k) without any real haggling. I just told him £53k was all I had and could I have the blue one please...
A mix of winter, month end and the post Christmas period meant they were keen to offload, worked for me, no reason why similar won't for you.

.....now I like the idea of a 4.7 for £40-44k.

It may take 1 to 2 years for a good 4.7 to be in that price bracket.Dave

There are far more 4.3 coupes around (about 3300), than 4.7 coupes (about 850).
As well as the 4.7s being the more recent cars, the smaller used supply does hold the prices up a little more than the 4.3s.

I saw my v12v in November 2011. Went on holiday for 2 months and bought it for 8k less in February 2012.
I did make an offer in November that was rejected.
I know I'm in the US but I wanted to let you know that my experience was very similar here; I watched numerous Aston prices steadily drop (along with the dealers confidence) once past October and got a great deal at the end of January/ beginning of Feb when the same guys were a lot more keen to negotiate on the same cars. Once Spring came, the prices seemed 15 even 20% higher in some instances.I did make an offer in November that was rejected.
I wouldn't wait to negotiate though, just set your price and be prepared to walk away. It really amazed me how some dealers would call me back 4-6 weeks after they'd previously said they were not interested in my offer. Also, I wouldn't hold on past February as you risk getting caught in the upswing.

Sometimes you just need to be bold and brave when buying, I bought my car in December 2010 (a 2009 V8V), it had a price of £75k on it, I offered £65k, he immediately came back with £69k and we settled on £68k - it can be done, just be prepared to walk away if you can't get the deal that you want.
I havnt asked any more on the blue one, holding out to see if a red one comes in.
I cant see that blue one selling too soon, its a bit marmite isnt it.
my purchasing window is now december - feb.
I dont fancy the idea of running one through the full winter.
Plus, half the fun is in the waiting
