The making of my Cobalt Blue V12 Vantage Roadster
Discussion
My wife and I got invited to witness the creation of my V12 Vantage Roadster at the factory in Gaydon.
And amazingly, I was allowed to take pictures! (provided that I limited my photos to my own car).
The plan was that we would witness “The Marriage”, but the production got delayed and we missed it. But still, we had an amazing visit. Two visits actually, as we were allowed to come back a day later to see more.
A friendly engineer who was working on my drive train let me tighten some bolts, then my wife and I got to sign the drive train :-)
What an amazing day! My wife and I couldn’t stop smiling all the way back to Amsterdam.
Now we really can’t wait for delivery of our roaring roadster. Shouldn’t take too long now…

It's great to have photos of your car being built at the factory. Hopefully the other photos that they will be sending you provide even more memories for your photo album.
Myself, I've got a complete photo record of my car being built, from initial body assembly, painting, dashboard construction, leather stitching, seat & door fitting to car, drivetrain assembly, final inspection, etc. etc. (about 90 photos or so).
These were taken by the factory as a courtesy and provided on a CD. I look at them often; I'm sure you will too.
