I have eaten at Busaba (usually the one just outside Selfridges) more than any other restaurant I can think of - lovely grub, really top notch and very quick The spicy pepper squid and Morning Glory accompany the Massaman Duck Curry impeccably
Not a great place for a leisurely drink, but I guess that's the idea... soon toddle off elsewhere, not like Soho isn't full of bars. Peter was trying to drag me into some place called the Admiral Duncan last time, said it was his local. Fortunately I had a prior arrangement with some oysters and a Dover Sole on Regent Street,
Do Busaba take bookings though..? We'll be a biggish group hopefully.
From memory, busaba don't take bookings. Only one that might is the Tottenham Court Road branch, as I seem to remember a private room downstairs..Not a great place for a leisurely drink, but I guess that's the idea... soon toddle off elsewhere, not like Soho isn't full of bars. Don't forget the Pandan Chicken and Green Curry Fried Rice!

If we think there will be more of us than that it's probably the wrong place.
I'll do some research on the TCR branch to see about the private room.
Yeti's knowledge of the Admiral Duncan is legendary. Some chap I met with a leather waistcoat and cap was reminiscing about the sheepskin jacket and an escpacially saucy evening with Oysters and Vodka Martinis

Oh go on you know you want to... stay away!
Oh, Dieter, you will never know how tempting the offer is !!! Wouldn't even be difficult as we could stay in Amy's flat nearby. No chance of time off however at that time of year and we are already committed to Amsterdam earlier in the month

Hey Jamconk. You hardly need any time off and the rest of the arrangements sound to be made already. Goawn. You know it makes sense. No chance of time off however at that time of year and we are already committed to Amsterdam earlier in the month
The TCR branch of Basabai have a dining room downstairs available for groups 12-24.
I suspect we'll be struggling to make those numbers unless some others join us, so we'll stick with the wait at the door option. Panton Street usually find a table pretty smartish.
I'll start a new thread or two

Marcel said on Saturday that he really should come along to one of these. He muttered something about a half day needing to be taken due to his boss being a banker.
Come on Marcel, take the half day!
Woolders, absolutely.. Must even! Can't think of a better reason to take a half day off. Come on Marcel, take the half day!
Unfortunately, I'm away on business from 12th through to 20th November. Been trying to reschedule, but no success.
Will have to be the next one now

Nick, I still have the November date in my diary (13th November) as a pre-Christmas warm up. Has this now been dropped?
If not, I have to be on the 8.00 AM to Paris so am staying in London and will not need to hurry back to Hampshire but will ba having dinner with my hosts.i.e. I may have some free time after a sandwich and glass of water in the D&D!

Peter, many thanks. The trip must be another holiday because you are still "resting" are you not?
But of course. May not be up to my usual standards though. Looking after the pennies right now so business class to the Maldives is a definite nono woolders said:
