I'd love to get a DB9 but all those I've been in seem a bit cramped. I;m 6'3"and well built...or a bit fat! My head touches the roof liner and not much elbow room. Am I just too big or is there something I'm missing. Oh! and yes I have pushed the seat back to delimb the kids in the back and crushed anything hiding under the seat!

There's more room in a Vantage (6'2" and moved from DB9 to V12V).

I bought a DB9 because I found the Vantage too cramped confused

I think the original DB9 seat cushions are lower than later versions. BTW I'm 6.2, not as thin as I was and a bit long in the tooth
hehe

Can they be retro fitted to a newer car?

They can, but Aston wants a hefty amount of money for them (around 10k)

They haven't stopped fittin then, you just have to order them when speccing from new.

Common on V12V, see them often on DBS and Vantage S, but never seen them on a DB9.

Hi Alan, I'm 6'6" and big built and have no problems fitting in my DB9. It's all a matter of fiddling with the seat controls. Failing that, go for a Rapide, especially at the prices they are dropping to and they are a fantastic drive and interior if you're looking to fit 4.

+1. Make sure you have all the height adjustment utilized in the seat. Sometimes I seem a little short on headroom if I don't have the seat base rotated downwards towards the rear before I adjust the whole seat rearwards

All that being done there is no room behind me for anyone with their legs down - my 11 year old does manage to still sit there though with legs crossed in his lap! The teen then sits in the passenger side rear seat behind the wife, and there you have it a true family 4-seater smile.....or more correctly a 2 + 1 + 1/2 seater

DB9's are big on the outside, small inside with useless back seats and don't look as pretty as a Vantage, and the Vantage has got a proper engine, not like the Mondeo engines of the DB9

No, not really.
DB 9's hold no more value than a Vantage, and who was talking about costs anyway, that sounds like AM snobbery

How can you ride a Ducatti with such a big chip on your shoulder?

I've got one on each shoulder, it gives some balance.

Says the man who has just derided the v12 as being 2 Mondeo engines - go figure

It's a little jib at the people on here ( you know who you are ) that constantly deride the Vantage V8 for having 4 too few cylinders. It's an open forum.
