Hi All,

Should the + & - buttons on the left hand side of my steering wheel adjust the radio volume or is it just when using the integrated phone? They altered the volume on my 2000 XKR so I find it a bit strange on a 2007 DB9 that they don't.

Same here on my 2010MY V8V.

+ and - adjust volume
rocker on the back changes track
Use it all the time as don't have to take hands off the steering wheel to adjust. smile

Early cars don't do it, later ones do. Very annoying.

Thanks everyone. The Main Dealer said it was phone only so I thought I had better check. Just seems a bit strange that something so common doesn't work on a car like an '07' DB9.

They don't really get away with it if they see that there's a problem and then release a newer version with it fixed do they?

Now the indicator stalks - they're a problem we're letting them get away with!

I have a 2007 V8 Vantage with Bluetooth. The steering wheel controls only address the phone system. However, now listed on the accessories page of the V8 Vantage web page of the astonmartin.com website is an upgrade to the Bluetooth system. I've checked with my dealer and if this is installed you not only get the updated Bluetooth system but also get the steering wheel controls to operate the entertainment system as in the 2008 and later cars. Not a cheap upgrade but at least Aston makes it possible. I also have the Aston iPod upgrade installed on my car which is fully integrated and works very well. So I believe this feature will also integrate and work very well.

odd, there's obviously a lot of variance as the wheel controls on my 2006 (MY07) Vantage with Bluetooth control the lot. Perhaps it had a mid-life upgrade or something.

Anybody can tell if the upgrade to the Bluetooth system mentioned by Henry M works on the DB9 (MY2007) also? not cheap = how much (roughly)?

It's obviously not new technology or expensive as I had it on my 2000 XKR.

My company designs software. I occasionally sit with the engineers to listen in and contribute.
Something like this would get picked up in a nanosecond and designed into the product. I'd fire my software architects that were too incompetent or lazy to consider something as basic as this. Ho hum, maybe designing the cabin for a car is significantly different.

As I said earlier in the thread only works on MY08 and later cars. Unless you get the newer module installed.
