Hello all

After reading the PH forums for a few years now, I thought I'd make my first post in the friendly AM forum! I purchased my first Aston 2 months ago and I absolutely love it! I've previously owned Porsches & BMWs but the AM gives a much bigger feel good factor. I went for the Sportshift Vantage over a DB9, as personally I found it more enjoyable to drive and practical to use every day (even fits in my garage).

Got a feeling this won't be my last and I'm already selling the 'benefits' of a DBS to the wife biggrin

Congrats. Glad to hear you are loving it. My DB9 fit's in my garage - just, but it's a two person job getting it in.

Where abouts in the East Mids are you?

I tried that for 3 years before and during ownership, never convinced her! Enjoy

Thanks

It's a MY09 Sportshift. Sat nav, heated memory seats, HID, front parking sensors, blue tooth, bright grille, auto dim rearview, powerfold mirrors and fuse 22 removed by the dealer on collection!

Didn't go with the sport pack, as I actually prefer the more classic 20 spoke wheels and thought the ride was firm enough for my short daily commute.

Great looking car, I recognise Stratstone Derbys fence smile, you just need to remove the number plate plinth now and lower the plate

Looking good. Welcome and don't be surprised when anything you post goes wildly off topic.

Oh, make sure you keep those wheels clean. They would be a real pain to clean if you let them stay dirty for a long time.

Great service from Stratstone Derby - was one of the deciding factors when I almost went for an R8 or another 997.

The plinth is staying for now. I know my garage door will close when the plinth touches the 8 inches of insulation I'm using for makeshift padding hehe

I'll have to experiment with some more high tech solutions like that! I'm sure I could do something with the dozens of squash balls I have!!
