Where did I say I was on a public road when doing 120+?
Plus it's hardly evidence to prosecute is it?
I had great fun on a triple today! Triumph Street Triple R. 3 hour test ride throughout the trough of Bowland, into Settle.Plus it's hardly evidence to prosecute is it?
I am not making any comment on your speed by the way, I have been quicker around SPA

As I said before though - could the police really prosecute for something they've seen on the Internet? I doubt it myself.

Sorry for going off thread buts what's the opinion on The Doctor's move back to Yamaha ??
Even as a huge Rossi fan I think he will struggle to compete with Lorenzo until mid way through the season. Hopefully he will prove me wrong and win the first race though! George H said:

Probably not on its own... but if a person has been spotted riding around 'too fast' in the opinion of a concerned citizen/busybody, wearing a distictive power ranger suit and with their numer being noted... and then said person confesses on t'internet... Well, what do you think? yeti said:

But I haven't confessed to anything? I said 120+ (no units specified). Didn't say where I was when I did that speed. It's not like I posted a video of me speeding on a public road! Johnfrancis said:
Now, don't get me wrong, I love my 4.3 V8V and will keep it forever, I have joined in the arguments on here regarding 8 v's 12 cylinders, and have been proper slagged off for preferring the 8
Now, here's the thing, two weeks ago I bought a 22 year old Caterham, with a ford cross flow stage 3 1700, with, can you believe it...4..... Yes 4 cylinders, oh the humanity!.
Well at 7.30 am, I took this aberration of too few cylinders, for a drive in the frosty Kent and Sussex countryside, I have never ( repeat never for effect ) enjoyed a drive so much!!!! The noise, the smell, the twitches, the knowledge that no ECU is gonna help me out........it's not what our cars have got that make them fun to drive, it's what they ain't got that keeps you alert and alive!.
Love it.

There's a world of difference between my 4.3 V8V and my 1600 K series Supersport, and I enjoy them both for what they offer. I recently followed a mate back from a L7 club meeting - he was in his Xflow, I was in the Aston. He got to enjoy the V8 soundtrack and I got to watch the continual exhaust fireworks on a crisp autumnal evening.
Read this with interest. I have a Tiger Supercat which I built a few years back which is essentially a slightly less engineered & cheaper Caterham but the experience is the same. Comparing the V8V and Tiger is 100% apples and oranges but I love them both and wouldn't part with either. As far as driving fast and on the edge goes the Tiger wins hands down, it is a far more involved experience where you can feel and push the limits of grip. In comparison the V8V is just to good.... maybe I'm a wimp but the idea of stepping the back out or reaching any of its limits on a country road is utterly terrifying. Maybe it would be different on a track with a few long straights but some of the servicing/tyre/brakes costs I have heard about for V8V's after a track day have kept me away so far compared to the £100 it would cost to take the Tiger. Will have to happen at some point though.
The down side of the Tiger is of course the elements, mine has no roof what's so ever so generally struggle to get a 1000 miles in each year. Anyway for me they seem like the perfect combo. Does make for a very difficult decision for those sunny morning drives though.

You can't beat a light car with no electrical trickery for a real driving experience...
My Marcos weighs 890kg but I 'accidentally' put a 4.6 V8 in it with 348bhp. The results are predictable, it's terrifying and I only drove it two or three times last year. I have got old, the Aston seems so much more appropriate for my needs now

A Laverda Jota, Haven't seen one of those beast's for a few years. Back in the
70's I had a ZI Kawasaki, and although the Z1 was quicker accelerating, the big
Jota had the bar room bragging rights of being a little quicker top end. 140MPH
If I remember. After loads of bikes and broken bones I still cant leave them alone,
but for the last ten years have plodded about on my old Harley.

Morning Georgeous, worryingly I agree with you completely.
I want to see him return to the front and mixing it with the rest
If he gets his Mojo back (he really was not trying this weekend - being passed by Ellison was shocking)) he will be top 3 in the first race and will be fighting for the championship.I want to see him return to the front and mixing it with the rest

George i really do think you will be getting a call fom the boys in blue. They are checking forums all the time looking for speeders. Big trouble for you now. Oh no a photo of the bike as well.!
No, he wont. For any speeding prosecution to stand there has to be 2 pieces of corroborating evidence. The BIB wont be wasting their time.
