I goes without saying that the AM forum is not the best place to get a balanced opinion ... but wink ...

While the reviewer makes a number of valid points, I think he's overlooked the reason people buy these cars. I like it that Aston are unapologetic about prioritising form over function. They're objects of desire. You buy one because you want one ... not because it's practical or the fastest sports car out there.

I respect cars like the GTR and 458 for their cutting edge tech - they're fantastic cars. But when I was buying that wasn't what I was after. I like traditional engineering, classic styling, a bit of history and big noisy uncivilised engines - that's why I bought an Aston Martin.

The reviewer is clearly just not an Aston kind of guy - nobody's forcing you to buy one smile
