well the final countdown is on!!

9am tomorrow i collect my 1st Aston.
4.3 V8 Vantage.

So its coming from a main dealer so every thing should be spot on.
Is there any checks i need to make before i drive it away? Anything beyond the normal common sense checks of service book etc etc!

Im stupidly excited.

Love the colour - nice change for it not to be silver, grey or black.

Ask your dealer to lower the front number plate prior to you picking it up. The car looks so much better with it done. You can improve on perfection!! Enjoy.

i dont like it when the plate is just stuck to the car, im going to fabricate a oem looking mount that will be less erm.. over engineered, it will lower the plate, use the existing holes and be more delicate biggrin

Check that the Tyre Pressure Monitor System (TPMS)is working correctly! It's a pain in the A#S and £120 per wheel + fitting to fix otherwise! banghead

Also the tracker banghead

And that the fuel flap opens when you want it to. Can be embarrassing when you first fuel up. banghead

ENJOY! woohoo

Make sure you receive the Ctek battery charger. Ask them to show you how to check the oil level, yes its in the "handbook" but its not like on other cars.

Also, there is no way of removing the silly grin from your face without surgery!

6 CD's insert them and make sure it works. The extended warranty didn't cover mine.

Lovely colour same as a mate of mine bought a few years back looks great in the sunshine.

Love the red (Toro?)she is a beauty. Even though it's main dealer I'd have the good lady (or a friend) come along to inspect all the body panels, wheels and interior are exactly as you require. Meanwhile you will be in the - "is that stunning car really mine - new Aston trance" and having the hand over tour, so won't be able to see beyond the crystal starter button biggrin
