Know what you mean, for both comments! wink

A few of you know I put my car on SORN just for a month to force myself into driving the other cars... It's working of course but a 70s Alfa Spider and 80s Esprit are not suitable for this weather really and Mrs Yeti has bagsied the 911 frown But I have to walk past the DB9 several times a day as it slowly gathers dust and looks forlorn, but what a thing to look at just as a work of automotive art.

So far it's been a VERY long 22 days of SORN, roll on December 1st, a fresh MOT and some overpriced tax to go with it!

You have to be carefull what you say on this subject, but we know we are amongst friends here.
I'm always up early and while the kettle is boiling I always nip into the garage just to look at it.
Yes every day I'm home!

Do we all need help?

Why not SORN it during a summer month then?

Do you not still have the Defender too?

Because the tax ran out at the end of October. I want to drive the Esprit as it's a coupe... But the battery has gone dead rolleyes

Defender went months ago, Discovery 2 on the way for winter... but not here yet!

Yeti - I'll swap my Range Rover for your Esprit so you've got a reliable winter car. Its OK I'll even buy the replacement battery for the Esprit to save you the cost. wink

Having sold my 9 back in July to ensure the right deal for my forthcoming V12VR it is one of the things that I have really missed - just being able to pop into the garage and have a look at the Aston. Sometimes just to wonder at the design, sometimes just to sit in it. That doesn't even cover having been without an Aston to drive!!!

Still, I am due to pick up the new one tomorrow with just one 'potential' problem stopping us from collecting her - the road from our house down to the main road currently looks more like a river with flooding at the end of the road (lovely red muddy water) - and more heavy rain in the SW forecast today. Not anywhere near good enough conditions to bring her home cry Still there is always next week biggrin

Always happy to help mates out. smile Always loved the Esprit. Have another friend with one - never takes it out, always something wrong with it.
