of course ! don't all aston owners ?
It's the minimum qualification to own one Pretty sure I've justified my new engine by not needing a 575 Maranello alongside my DB9 and all the running costs that come with it. So in fact I'm quids in and will probably buy a watch with all the money I have made.

The lyrics are very apt to the opinions in this thread:-
All I desire
Temptation
Keep climbing higher and higher
Temptation
Adorable creatures
Temptation
With unacceptable features
Temptation
Trouble is coming
Temptation
It's just the high cost of loving
Temptation
You can take it or leave it
Temptation
But you'd better believe it
All I desire
Temptation
Keep climbing higher and higher
Temptation
Adorable creatures
Temptation
With unacceptable features
Temptation
Trouble is coming
Temptation
It's just the high cost of loving
Temptation
You can take it or leave it
Temptation
But you'd better believe it
One of my fav songs and some very apt lyrics

Have the two - V8VSR and V12V. Perfect.

There is obviously a serious rarity/collectibility factor with the V12VR. Is that what you want though? If not, then I would have thought that your V8VSR is probably as good a car. Better, if you combine it with that Magma Red item. You then have to ask yourself, if they are 'keepers', how many V12V's are there, worldwide. I suspect that they are, globally, pretty rare vehicles too.

A little over 1,000 coupes, plus 101 roadstersThe beauty of V12VR (for me) is that it is seriously rare & collectible as you say, but the majority of buyers are not collectors buying this to be a garage queen but keen drivers with a more modest number of cars than buyers of these kind of limited editions tend to nromally be, so the cars will be driven
Incidentally, I'd wager that there will end up being not vastly unsimilar numbers of V8 S Vantages made as V12V Vantages (in both instances, combining coupe & roadster models)
Mikey,
I was in a not to dis-simmilar position to you a while ago. I had only had my V8VSR for 5/6 months, and the opportunity to get into a new Virage Volante came along. I was initially looking at a DBS Volante, but the Virage was in many ways the better car - and the cost to change was less! ( I was aware at this point the Virage had a short lived production life). Anyhow, my point is, my desire to change was driven primarily by going from 8 cylinders to 12. I thought about going the BR route for extra power/torque from the V8, but after having driven the V12 at length, the difference was night and day. while ultimate performance is not massively different, The V8 always seemed like it needed to be worked so much harder to get the most out of it. The V12 just nails it straight from the off, effortless pulling from 1000rpm upwards.
Ironically, I was also recently offered the chance to change into a V12VR not so long ago, with a choice of 6 dealer spec'ed cars (surprising - I thought all allocations would have been taken up by customers). After a few test drives, I was not sold. Yes I loved the shorter wheel base (and the manual box was super smooth), but in many ways it was just change for changes sake. I chose to keep the Virage, and looking back - I made the right decision.
I can offer the following thoughts -
If you are looking to change to get the V12 - there are other options.
If you are looking for the limited production desirability - this may be the last chance on a new V12VR.
If you go for this one, push them hard on price. for this dealer spec'd vehicle, my gut tells me there is another 15-18k in there to be had in the deal.
I also suspect there are still a few new dealer spec models floating around that may fit your spec list, that can be had at a better price point. If interested, I can pass you the details of a man who can undoubtable assist.
Hope the above helps.
James.
